Kyle Turley On Tour with a Purpose
Chicago – 9/9/2011 – When it comes to professional athletes jumping to other careers in the entertainment industry, the results do not always turn out like they were supposed to. When it comes to two time NFL All-Pro standout Kyle Turley, this switch has paid dividends where it counts – charity. Turley, who founded Gridiron Records shortly after his NFL retirement, set out Thursday for the first leg of his “Gridiron Tail-Gate Tour” in Green Bay, WI. Turley has dedicated proceeds for his tour and record downloads to the Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund, a 501c3 Non-Profit organization that brings much needed aid to ailing NFL retiree’s.
Many NFL players who helped build, shape, and mold the NFL of today, are paying the price physically, mentally, and emotionally from their on-the-field efforts. Some retired players from past NFL eras, have not received some of the benefits and pensions of the modern players. Some retirees lack adequate disability, rehabilitation, health insurance and retirement programs to allow for, and maintain a quality of life and financial security for themselves and their families.
“We could not thank Kyle enough for all that he has done for the Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund. The players we assist are the pioneers of the game and make the league what it is today. They are faced with insurmountable costs for health care, many suffer from chronic pain and depression and are looking for a safe place to turn to. Thanks to leadership from people like Kyle, we have an opportunity to make these retired NFL heroes lives livable again,” commented Shannon Jordan, President of the GGAF.
Turley has committed 100% of online sales of his forthcoming single “Fortune and Pain” to the Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund. “I am honored to sit on the Board of Directors for the Gridiron Greats and look forward to making an impact with all of our fans across the nation,” commented Turley in a recent interview.
Tour dates include both NFL and Collegiate pre-game and post game events. For more information on Kyle Turley and “Gridiron Tail-Gate Tour” dates, visit www.GridironRecords.com or contact Turley’s publicist Chris Foltz at 312-772-4865 or email@example.com.
